I like to paint a variety of subjects and enjoy the different effects of light on colour and shadows.

I work mostly in Artist's quality oils and usually complete a painting in one wet. The paintings are based on my own sketches, notes and photographs.

I have drawn and painted since I could pick up a pencil and it is only since I was made redundant a few years ago that I have had the opportunity to concentrate on painting more fully.
